I have been to this place many times over the years. The thing I like the most is that I am able to see this busy part of campus without being a part of it. I am almost safe from the bustle and college community for a little while. It is a gorgeous view, sometimes I like it because I can see Avenue of Champions and it gives me a little escape, until I remember that I have class shortly. Sometimes this is the type of experience you need during a break between classes, but this is the first time I have sat here and thought about it during the summer. It offers a new perspective on campus, a quieter version.

I have been back to the same comfy chairs in the Fine Arts Library many times since my last post. I still see the same black pavement with neon yellow lines. The same trees and landscapes as before. There are still multiple lawn structures adding art in places that give this scenery some character. I have also seen the same white community trucks and vans most times I have been back, these things you notice quite often around campus. I have seen kids rushing to class and rushing home, bikers zooming around and swerving to avoid pedestrians. What i have notice two of the times I have been back are groups of parents and prospective students walking around enjoying the quiet of campus in the summer. They look to have veered from the tour, or decided to explore together some more after the tour has finished. I can see them walking slow and taking in the sights almost as attentive to detail as I was trying to be. I can still hear the tapping of the keyboards, but no crinkling professor these last few times. It must be the time of year, because there are usually many more people surrounding this peaceful place in the library. I see some squirrels prancing from the grass to the trees, doing a sort of dance or ritual within this situation.
