blog assignment 4

What I was worried about the most was my eye contact, how much i gestured, my enthusiasm, and i kept repeating phrases. I kepting looking at my powerpoint, but most of the time that was when i was pointing stuff out. I talked with my hands A LOT. Before i watched the video i knew that i said a few phrases such as "like that" a lot. When i watched the video, it actually wasnt has bad as I thought it was. I also looked out to the classroom more than i thought I did. Before I watched the video of my presentation i also thought that i had problems coming up with words and that there were long pauses. When watching the presentation i found that it actually wasnt as bad as I thought. My lowest score from the class was in Enthusiasm which i knew i had problems in already. I also need to work on my volume. I was too soft. I also pulled at my shirt a few times, so i will have to try to stop doing that.
A few successes i had during the presentation was that i was within the time limit and i didnt talk way too fast like i did for the first presentation we did. My presentation was also organized well. The average class rating on my organization was a 4.8. What was also good was that i wasnt as nervous was I was before.
For the next presentation i am going to try to have my powerpoint where i dont have to point at it so i will look at the class more. I will also keep in mind that i will have to speak up. Now that I know i wasnt loud enough, it will be an easier fix. I am also going to work on my enthusiasm. I will practice more in hopes that I will be able to think of all my words better and faster and work on my word speed while i do that as well.
